Cardrona

A very good learner or "first day back on skis after a long break" field.
Higher, drier, and naturally better. Located between Wanaka and Queenstown with a base elevation of 1670m above sea level, Cardrona is higher, colder and renowned for dry natural snow and wide, open slopes.

Cardrona is a great place for learners with 3 magic carpet lifts, a platter lift and a beginner quad chair. It’s also a favourite with families, providing complete solutions for children from 3 months to 12 years in three purpose-built facilities.

Cardrona's half pipes, gravity cross course and terrain park trails make it a popular playground with freestyle skiers and boarders. These facilities host a number of national and international events throughout the season.
