Telemark - Free Heel Week!

Telemark skiing is becoming more popular and it is always great to have other Free-heelers to rip some turns on the mountain together.

New for the 08 Snow chaser is having a ‘Free heel’ week. As the Snowchaser guides Greg and Marti are both ‘free heelers’ it was obvious for them to have a week to show off their playground with other Telemarkers.

The ‘Free Heel’ week includes-

Six days of skiing - one day at each of four the ski areas in the Southern lakes district - Cardrona, Treble Cone, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. The other two days will be a skier’s choice local ski area day and a Heli ski option.

We will base ourselves out of Arrowtown, a great little town nestled in the mountains with a relaxed winter resort feel, central to all the ski areas.

Accommodation will be in comfortable motel or holiday home, walking distance to the village centre where there are good café’s, bars and restaurants.

The all inclusive price of nz$1500pp on a twin share, double  (Add $250 single supplement) breakfast supplied, one evening meal, lifts passes, transport, guiding and pointers from qualified instructors (not a structured lesson but good advice while skiing).

Lunch and evening meals will be up to the individual. Airport shuttle included if required.

Heli skiing will be optional- but encouraged as it is a lot of fun and good value.

The Free Heel Week is suitable for all Telemarkers – as long as you can link a few Tele turns together
